Canyon Birch Earns Major USILA Award, Nine Spartans Named USILA All-South Region

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) announced the 2024 USILA Division II All-Region South Teams.

The University of Tampa men's lacrosse placed nine players on the USILA All-South Region teams. Tampa standout Canyon Birch garnered USILA First Team honors and was named the USILA Offensive Player of the Year. Joining Birch on the First Team are Matthew Beddow, Jackson Day, Owen Miller, Nick Papa, and Alex Poma. 

Andrew Milani picked up Second Team honors in his first season as a Spartan while Charlie Bolesh and Conley Stone each were Honorable Mentions. 
 
Highlighting the teams were the three major awards:
 
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR: Canyon Birch - U of Tampa
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR: Victor Powell - Lenoir Rhyne University
PLAYER OF THE YEAR: Willie Grieco - Wingate
