Spartans Set Sights on Saints for 2025 Home Opener

TAMPA, Fla. - The No. 2 Tampa Spartans host Flagler for Alumni Night.

Series History: Tampa holds a 3-0 record against Flagler since their first meeting in 2022, outscoring the Saints 54-19.

About the Spartans: Tampa kicked off their 2025 season with a dominant 15-6 non-conference road victory against Florida Tech. Newcomers, Davis Lindsey and Connor Theriault made immediate impacts in their Spartan debuts, each earning Sunshine State Conference Player of the Week honors for their performances. Lindsey led the offense in points with three goals and three assists, while Theriault anchored the defense with nine saves and a .600 save percentage in goal. The Spartans were also aided by key contributions from returners, Ryan Kemp and Jackson Bashaw, both adding 4 goals each.

About the Saints: The Flagler College men's lacrosse team began their season last week with a 13-8 win over Embry-Riddle University. The Saints entered 2025 tied for third in the Peach Belt preseason poll, with three all-conference selections. Last season, Flagler reached their second straight conference final, finishing 7-9 while competing against six ranked opponents.
