
Four Spartans Named USILA Preseason All-Americans
TAMPA, Fla. - The University of Tampa men's lacrosse team kicked off their season with a non-conference road victory over Florida Tech this past weekend. Despite starting the new campaign, the preseason accolades keep rolling in!
Four Tampa men's lacrosse players have been named USILA Preseason All-Americans, as announced by the organization on February 5, 2025.
The University of Tampa occupies four spots on the USILA Division II Preseason Second Team, including newcomers Davis Lindsey, Michael Flores, and Connor Theriault, along with third-year Spartan Conley Stone.
Stone returns for his third season in the red and black after starting all 20 games in 2024, where he recorded 42 ground balls and 14 caused turnovers. In addition to earning a 2025 USA Lacrosse Magazine Preseason First Team All-American selection, he was previously honored with a USILA All-American Honorable Mention, USILA All-South Region Honorable Mention, and an All-SSC Second Team selection in 2024.
Linsey has already begun his 2025 season with a USA Lacrosse Magazine Preseason All-American Honorable Mention and was named the Sunshine State Conference Offensive Player of the Week (2/3/2025) after his six-point performance in the team's opener.
After spending his undergraduate career at SSC rival Saint Leo, Flores continues to add to his list of accolades. In addition to being tabbed as a Preseason Second Team All-American by the USILA, the faceoff specialist was named All-SSC Second Team, USILA, and USA Lacrosse Magazine Honorable Mention in 2024, All-SSC First Team and USILA Honorable Mention in 2023, and earned SSC Commissioners Honor Roll.
After finishing his undergraduate career at Brown University with 551 saves (7th most in program history), Theriault has kicked off his first season as a graduate Spartan with a USA Lacrosse Magazine Preseason All-American Honorable Mention and a Sunshine State Conference Defensive Player of the Week (2/3/2025). Theriault accumulated an impressive amount of awards while at Brown. In 2023, he earned a spot on the Tewaaraton Award Watch List and was named a USA Lacrosse Magazine Preseason All-American. His standout 2022 season awarded him a USILA Honorable Mention All-American, USA Lacrosse Magazine Honorable Mention All-American, First Team All-Ivy, and NEILA First Team All-New England honors. He was also named Ivy League Player of the Week (4/23/2022) and twice received Ivy Rookie of the Week recognition.
