Top-Ranked Tampa to Face Maryville in Ranked Showdown

Series History: The Spartans dominated the Saints back in 2017, the only time the programs have met, 16-2, also played in Missouri.

About the Spartans: The Tampa Spartans are now the No. 1 ranked team in the country, bolstered by a 12-5 win over Concordia Irvine and a 13-8 win over No. 15 Seton Hill at the Crown Classic in North Carolina. Standout Spartan goalkeeper, Connor Theriault grabbed this third Sunshine State Conference Defensive Player of the Week award for his performances against Concordia Irvine and No. 15 Seton Hill; Totaling 26 saves on 64 total shots, Therialut's save percentage from last week was .667 as he continues to lead the conference with .615 save percentage for the season. Ryan Kemp and Davis Lindsey sit at No. 4 and 5 in the conference for points per game with 4.29 and 4, respectively.

About the Saints:  The Maryville men's lacrosse team is 4-1 on the 2025 season, with their only loss coming in overtime to No. 3 Lenoir Rhyne while knocking off No. 19 Rockhurst the very next game. The Saints kicked off their season receiving three first-place votes for 23 total points, tied for first, in the Great Lakes Valley Conference's Preseason Coach's Poll, as well as being ranked No. 12 in the USILA Preseason Poll.
