The No. 1 Tampa Spartans men's lacrosse team improved to 8-0 on the season after defeating their fifth-ranked opponent, No. 7 Maryville. For the second time this season, the Spartans swept the Sunshine State Conference Player of the Week awards, with: Connor Theriault picking up his fourth Defensive Player of the Week honor, Davis Lindsey earning Offensive Player of the Week recognition for the second time in first season as a Spartan, and Michael Flores claiming his second Specialist Player of the Week award of the season and the 12th of his career, tying for the third-most in SSC history. About the Greyhounds: After starting their 2025 season by winning three of their first four games, including a victory over No. 14 Newberry, Indianapolis has dropped three straight, with their most recent loss coming against No. 9 Seton Hill, whom the Spartans defeated earlier this season. The Greyhounds were predicted to finish fourth in the Great Lakes Valley Conference in the preseason coaches' poll, with both Maryville and Rockhurst—teams Tampa has already beaten—ranked ahead of them.
