Tampa to Play #2 Nova Southeastern on the Road
TAMPA, Fla. - Fresh off a win over top-ranked Lynn in their last match, the University of Tampa men's soccer team (6-3, 2-1) travels to Fort Lauderdale on Saturday to square off against second-ranked Nova Southeastern (8-1-1, 2-1-1) in a Sunshine State Conference matchup.
Tampa comes into the match on a high after knocking off number one Lynn last Saturday behind four unanswered goals. Nova is coming off a loss to Lynn on Wednesday night, falling to the Fighting Knights by a 3-1 score.
The Spartans lead the all-time series between the two clubs
5-4-3, despite a 2-1 overtime loss in 2006. Tampa has not been
victorious over the Sharks since 2003, posting a 0-2-1 mark against
Nova in that time.
