TAMPA, Fla. - The University of Tampa men's soccer team notched a late goal in Tuesday night's contest against Palm Beach Atlantic University to defeat the Sailfish 1-0. The win brings the Spartans' record to 8-2-1 on the season, while Palm Beach Atlantic drops to 6-4 overall.
Pascal Milien wowed the crowd for the second straight game when he broke past the Sailfish defense and beat Palm Beach Atlantic's Joe Yurchak to give the Spartans the lead in the 66th minute. Ryan Griffin was credited with the assist on Milien's fourth goal of the season.
Tampa goalkeeper Ryan Thompson earned his fifth shutout victory of the season, stopping each of Palm Beach Atlantic's four shots. Yurchak also ended the game with four saves.
The Spartans will go on the road to face Barry University on Saturday, Oct. 11 at 7 p.m. in Miami Shores.
