Tampa Dominates Senior Night Matchup
TAMPA, Fla. – The University of Tampa men's soccer team dominates senior night matchup against Tritons.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
FIRST HALF: The match began the Spartans putting pressure on the Tritons early. In the fifth minute, graduate student Pablo Marques opened the scoring for the match off a pass from Viggo Svedin. The Tampa offense continued to control the momentum of the match by recording shots and dominating possession. With 22 minutes left before the half, Rodrigo Lopes made a shot that went just inches wide of the goal. In the 36th minute, Svedin netted his fourth goal of the season when teammate Lorenz Offner found him in front of the net. The Spartans would head into the break with a two goal lead.

SECOND HALF: The second half opened with Tampa ready to carry the momentum of the first half into the second 45 minutes. The Spartans continued to control the tempo of the game and spend most of the time in the attacking third. In the 74th minute, senior Michael Diaz made his Spartan debut in goal, relieving Alex Hare. The two goals from the first half would prove to be the lone ones of the match, and enough for Tampa to earn the win.
