Bulls Invitational Features Number of Spartans in Running Events

TAMPA, Fla. - The University of Tampa men's and women's track teams were back in action on Thursday and Friday, running at the Bulls Invitational at the University of South Florida.
Kristin Steede netted a top-20 performance in the 400 Meter Dash, finishing in 18th place with a time of 1:02.22.
On the men's side, Larenz Harris was 20th with a time of 53.61 for UT.
In the men's 800 Meter Run, senior Jessie Boria was ninth overall with a time of 1:56.29. Scott Billings was 15th with a 1:59.02.
Claudia Cancello paced the Spartans in the 1,500 Meter Run, as she finished 11th with a time of 4:44.44.
Eddie Keenan led the way for UT in the men's 1,500 as he was 14th with a 4:08.50.
Chantalle Blundell and Juli Boehm turned in fifth and sixth place efforts in the 5,000 as the duo finished in 18:06.45 and 18:07.27 respectively.
A total of four Spartan men were in the top-15 in the 5,000, led by freshman Joe Weber's seventh place time of 18:41.17. Joining Weber as top performers in the race were Brendan McGonagle (9th, 15:44.35), Mitch Arnold (11th, 15:49.19) and Tyler Blackburn (15th, 15:57.54).
Tampa is back in action on Friday and Saturday as it will send runners to both the Raleigh Relays and University of North Florida Spring Break Invite.
