
Shane Cohen Completes Historic Season at NCAA Championships
ALLENDALE, Mich. - University of Tampa sophomore track runner Shane Cohen finished his 2021 season with a ninth-place finish at the NCAA Track & Field Championships.
Cohen, a native of Huntingdon Valley, Pa., became the first runner in program history to compete at the championships, in the 800 Meters. He earned a spot in the finals following a fourth-place time of 1:52.15 in Friday's race. Competing in the championships on Saturday, Cohen was timed at 1:51.21.
He concludes a season where he established a new school record in the 800 Meters with a time of 1:49.19 at the Tampa Tri-Meet on March 13. He also set a new school mark in the 400 Meters while being part of school records in the 4x400 Meter Relay.
