
Shane Cohen Completes Final Race Before NCAA Championships
CLEVELAND, Tenn. - University of Tampa sophomore track standout Shane Cohen ran in his final race prior to the 2022 NCAA Division II Championships, competing at the Lee University Last Chance Meet.
Cohen, the UT program record holder in a total of five running events, competed in the men's 800 Meter race on Saturday. He would finish with a time of 1:50.81, placing 12th among 64 runners.
This will mark Cohen's second consecutive appearance at the national championships, as he became the first runner in program history to qualify for nationals as a freshman in 2021. He is also the lone All-American in program history.
The 2022 NCAA Division II Championships are scheduled for May 26-28 at Allendale, Mich. The championships are hosted by Grand Valley State University.
