
Spartans Set Record with Five on All-Region Team
NEW ORLEANS, La. - After winning the second South Regional in program history and the first since 2004, The University of Tampa women's cross country team continued its success with a record five individuals on the 2007 Division II Women's all-South Region team. The team was announced by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCA).
Sunshine State Conference Runner of the Year Laura Woznicki was joined by teammates Jessica Forrester, Paige Williams, Julia Vola and Alysha Duffy. The award marks the second consecutive all-South selection for Woznicki and Williams as the others earned the honor for the first time.
The Spartans will conclude the 2007 season on Saturday, November 17, at the NCAA II Championships in Joplin, Mo.
