Tampa Cross Country Has Record Nine Academic All-Americans

TAMPA, Fla. - Following a record setting season, The University of Tampa men's and women's cross country teams had a combined nine Academic All-Americans. While both teams advanced to the NCAA Nationals for the first time, the ninth place women's team did so as the lone NCAA II team to have its top seven runners as Academic All-Americans.

Among the Spartan women honored were Laura Woznicki, Paige Williams, Jessica Forrester, Alysha Duffy, Julia Vola, Michelle Gabrielle and Dara Fox. Spartan men who were Academic All-Americans were Tony Nicolosi and Chris Catanach.
