
Pair of Spartan Runners Earn Personal Bests
DURHAM, N.C. - University of Tampa runners Tony Nicolosi and Paige Williams each registered personal bests at the Duke Twilight. The event, which was hosted by Duke University, took place at Wallace Wade Stadium. UT was the lone NCAA II institution to compete.
In the women's 5K, Williams and Laura Woznicki took second and third place finishes respectively as Libery's Carol Jefferson won the race. Williams set a UT sophomore record with a 17:48.46 as Woznicki came in at 17:54.87.
In the men's 5K, Nicolosi was 12th with a time of 15:23.78. He was the lone Spartan to compete in the race.
