
Tampa Finishes 14th at NCAA II Cross Country Championships
SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. - The University of Tampa women's cross country team, running in its sixth consecutive NCAA Division II Cross Country Championships, finished 14th in the 24 team national championship field as Adams State took the title.
Jessica Forrester was Tampa's top finisher as she claimed All-American honors with a 16th place finish. She completed the 6K in 22:19 to become UT's third All-American in cross country history. Forrester joins Laura Woznicki (2007) and Alison Macsas (2003, 2004) as the lone Spartan All-Americans.
Heather Nicolosi was the second Spartan to cross the finish line, turning in a time of 23:19. Alysha Duffy (71st), Dara Fox (96th) and Katie O'Brien (100th) rounded out the Tampa top five. Sarah Nelson (106th) and Michelle Gabrielle (127th) also ran for Tampa in the 189 runner field.
