Jess Butler Named SSC Runner of the Week

ORLANDO, Fla. - After leading the No. 13 University of Tampa cross country team to a championship at the Pre-National Invitational in Evansville, Ind., Jess Butler has been named the Sunshine State Conference Female Runner of the Week.

Butler, a sophomore from Coral Springs, Fla., led the Spartans to the team title and completed the 6K course with a time of 22:35.99 to finish third among 75 runners. Her performance helped her team collect 29 points to finish first among nine squads competing in the race.
