Laura Yarrow Caps Regular Season With SSC Runner of Week Honor
ORLANDO, Fla. - On the heels of the conference championships, University of Tampa freshman Laura Yarrow has been named Sunshine State Conference Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week presented by VALIC.
Yarrow (Colorado Springs, Colo.) finished 14th in a huge field of 202 runners participating at the Florida State Invitational. Yarrow was the top non-Division I finisher, turning in a 6K time of 22:34.7. Her efforts helped the Spartans finish second of 18 teams that descended on Tallahassee for the event.
This marks the second time in 2012 that the UT freshman has been honored as the SSC Female Runner of the Week.
