Pair of Spartans Take SSC Runner of the Week Honors

WINTER PARK, Fla. - The University of Tampa claimed both weekly cross country awards as Geremy DeWitt and Chantalle Blundell were recognized as the league's men's and women's Runners of the Week presented by VALIC.

Blundell was the top finisher for the No. 19 Tampa Spartans at the Louisville Classic in Louisville, Ky. on Saturday. She finished the 5K race in a time of 18:49.17 to place 33rd amongst Division I and II runners.

DeWitt was the top runner for the University of Tampa at the Louisville Classic in Louisville, Ky. on Saturday. In the 8K event, crossed the line with a career best time of 27:01.04 to finish 51st among Division I and II runners.
