
Spartans Take Third at FSU Invite
Lars Benner leads Tampa with top-five finish.
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The University of Tampa men's cross country team concluded its regular season with a third-place effort at the Florida State Invitational.

• Lars Benner | 5th overall, 26:46.4
• Cory Munsch | 10th overall, 27:09.9
• Mitch Arnold | 15th overall, 27:28.6
• Joe Weber | 21st overall, 27:50.2
• Joey Maus | 22nd overall, 27:52.8
OTHER NOTABLES:
• Nick Morfesi and Tyler Roberts followed Maus at 23rd and 24th respectively.
• UT was the lone Sunshine State Conference team competing in the race.
• After finishing third and second in UT's lineup, Benner was the top performer with a top-five performance.
• Tampa sent a total of 10 runners to the race as Jessie Boria, Eddie Keenan and Sam Schaeffer.
UP NEXT:
With the regular season complete, the Spartans will travel to Melbourne on October 22 for the 2016 Sunshine State Conference Championships. The men's race will start at 7:45 a.m.
