
Three Spartans Earn All-SSC Honors
MELBOURNE, Fla. – Fourteen student-athletes are awarded All-Conference accolades in men's cross country following the 2020-21 Sunshine State Conference championship. Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University earns seven All-SSC honors after capturing its second league title, including Freshman and Coach of the Year.
Runner, Freshman, and Coach of the Year awards were voted upon by league coaches, while runners who finish Top-14 at the 2020-21 SSC Men's Cross Country Championship earn All-SSC status. Palm Beach Atlantic University hosted this year's championship on February 27th at the Rinker Athletic Campus in West Palm Beach.

Mason Jones of Florida Southern is crowned Runner of the Year following the individual title at the league championship. Jones, a native of Titusville, Florida, finished the 8,000-meter race in 25:49.41, over 12 seconds ahead of second place. The senior becomes the ninth Moccasin to be named Runner of the Year1, first since 2010.
Micah Blair of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University is named Freshman of the Year. The Akron, Ohio product finished eighth at the conference championship with a time of 25.35.24. Blair is the third consecutive Eagle to be honored by conference coaches2.
Mike Rosolino is awarded his second SSC Men's Cross Country Coach of the Year honor3. Under Rosolino's leadership, Embry-Riddle captured the 2020-21 conference championship, the program's second league title. ERAU earned a meet score of 38, besting the field 16 points, with four Eagles runners finishing Top-10.
Jones repeats as an All-SSC selection for a fourth straight year, while teammate Joshua Wagner repeats for the third season. ERAU's Ryan Szklany brings home his second consecutive First Team honor. A total of eight student-athletes repeat as All-SSC performers in 2020-21.
