
Spartans Fourth at Pre-National Men's Invite
SAINT LEO, Fla. – The University of Tampa men's cross country team competed against top regional teams at the Pre-National Invite with a fourth-place finish, showcasing the site of both the NCAA South Regional and Championships.

OTHER NOTABLES:
- Sullivan led the way for the Spartans for the second straight event.
- Freshman Hammill raced to a personal best in the 8K while being the second Ut runner to cross the finish line. Wales followed as he also ran a personal record.
- Alexander, one of several heralded freshmen on the team, established a new 8K personal record while notching his best finish as a Spartan.
- Head coach Dror Vaknin had 18 runners compete in the race.
- Patrick Kiprop of Fresno Pacific was the medalist with a time of 24:15.0.
- Other Sunshine State Conference schools at the event were Embry-Riddle (3), Saint Leo (6), Palm Beach Atlantic (10), Florida Southern (11) and Florida Tech (13).
UP NEXT:
The Spartans travel to Huntsville, Ala., on Saturday for the UAH Chargers Invitational. The event will be at the John Hunt Cross Country Course.
