Spartans Narrowly Miss Second Straight First-Place Finish
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The University of Tampa men's cross country team returned to action at the Embry-Riddle Invite, falling by just one point to host Embry-Riddle University.

OTHER NOTABLES:
- Veit led the Spartans for the first time in his career.
- Belmont, a transfer from Old Dominion, recorded his top finish as a Spartan.
- Heads coach Dror Vaknin registered 15 runners in the event.
- Dominic Brink had his best finish as a Spartan, finishing 14th with a personal best time of 27:20.43.
- Also finishing in the top 20 were Shane Cohen (16), Sean Popik (17) and Ayden Estevez.
- Embry-Riddle's Paul Kraemer was the individual champion, finishing in 26:25.71.
- Also representing the Sunshine State Conference was Palm Beach Atlantic (3), Nova Southeastern (4) and Florida Tech (10).
