Devlin Dougherty Named First Team All-Region
ARKADELPHIA, Ark. - University of Tampa softball player Devlin Dougherty has been selected as a Daktronics first-team all-South Region performer. The inaugural team is comprised of member institutions from the Gulf South Conference, Sunshine States Conference, and the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference as well as independent institutions in the South.
Dougherty, a senior from Couer d'Alene, Idaho, was selected as a designated player after starring as both a pitcher and hitter for UT. She finished the season with a team-high .328 batting average along with seven home runs and 31 RBI's. Her on-base percentage was also tops on the team as she was 15-9 with a 1.95 ERA as the ace of the Spartan pitching staff.
