Morrow Earns Back to Back SSC Honors
MELBOURNE, Fla. - The University of Tampa's Julia Morrow has been selected Sunshine State Conference Softball Pitcher of the Week for the fourth time this season.
Morrow, a senior from Baiting Hollow, N.Y. totaled 22.0 innings on the mound and gave up just one earned run on seven hits while striking out 41 batters. In the three-game series, she had a one-hitter, a two-hitter, and a four-hit shutout.
The senior has now won seven consecutive SSC games for the Spartans and has brought her season record to 21-5. She also has 24 complete games and 10 shutouts on the year.
UT will be back in action on April 17 to host Nova Southeastern for an SSC series opener with the game set to begin at 6 p.m. Live stats as well as a video webcast will be made available through www.tampaspartans.tv.
