Julia Morrow Becomes Two-Time All-American
ROLLA, Mo. - University of Tampa softball pitcher Julia Morrow has been named a Daktronics All-American for the second straight season, earning third-team honors.
Morrow, who threw three no-hitters as a senior, was among national leaders in every pitching category and was a five-time Sunshine State Conference Pitcher of the Week. She was also the SSC and Daktronics South Region Pitcher of the Year.
As a senior, Morrow was 25-9 with a 1.35 ERA. She also set a new school strikeout record with 349 punchouts in 2015. In 238.0 innings, Morrow held hitters to a .173 clip at the plate. She also finished the season with 32 complete games, including 12 shutouts.
The 2015 team is co-sponsored by Daktronics, Inc., an acknowledged world leader in scoring, timing and programmable display systems for virtually every sport at every level of competition and the Division II Collegiate Commissioners Association. The team is voted on by the members of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
This is the ninth season of the All-America program which is selected by CoSIDA members from schools playing in NCAA Division II.
