Tampa Softball Announces Walk-On Tryout Date

TAMPA, Fla. - The University of Tampa softball team will host an open tryout for current Fall 2015 students on Friday, September 4 at 5 p.m.

This will be the only tryout date offered for UT students in the Fall and Spring semesters. The tryout will be held at the Naimoli Family Softball Field.

All students need to have a copy of their UT Spartan Card and they MUST have a copy of a physical dated within 6 months of the tryout date. (Physical must be in the time frame of March 3-September 3, 2015 - if it is not in this time frame, you will not be permitted to tryout due to NCAA rules). Students will also need to sign a sickle cell waiver and assumption of risk form.

Without proof of 2015 Fall semester UT Spartan Card, copy of physical taken within 6 months of the tryout and completed sickle cell waiver and assumption of risk forms - you cannot participate in the tryout.

Players need to wear proper equipment and arrive at the field about 4:45 p.m., to sign paperwork at the field. Reminder this is the only tryout date for the 2015 Fall and 2016 Spring semesters and is for 2015 Fall semester UT students only.
