
Sailfish Take Game One Over Spartans
A couple of controversial calls in the fifth inning allowed PBA to break the game open
WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – The University of Tampa softball team returned to the field after a bye week to take on the 4th ranked Palm Beach Atlantic University Sailfish in the final road series of the season. The Friday night game went to the home side after they shutout Tampa 8-0 in 6 innings.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
Palm Beach Atlantic broke the game open with five runs in the fourth and three runs in the sixth to take the opening match.
INSIDE THE STATS:
- Bailey Phillips notched her eighth double of the season in the 5th inning. With two outs on the board, Phillips recorded a stand-up double to left-center field.
UP NEXT:
The teams wrap up the series tomorrow afternoon with a doubleheader slated to start at noon.
