No. 13 Tampa Set to Host No. 4 North Georgia
TAMPA, Fla. – Tampa softball will play host to the North Georgia Nighthawks in a Thursday afternoon two-game series.

About the Spartans: The Spartans return to action after a three-game series sweep against the Eckerd Tritons. Mary Beth Feldman tallied her first win from the circle as a Spartan in the weekend series, pitching six innings in game two of the doubleheader, recording eight strikeouts. Also having a productive weekend from the circle was Mariah Galhouse, tallying ten strikeouts on Saturday. Corynn Miner concluded the weekend with four RBI, bringing her season total to seven. Miner is currently on a six-game hitting streak and her fourth-straight game with at least one RBI.
About the Nighthawks: The Nighthawks will take the field after going 3-1 in the Bearcat Invitational last weekend, the Nighthawks batting over .300 and scoring in the double digits totaling 37 runs in their three victories on the weekend. Outfielder Jolie Lester recorded four runs and five RBI in the Bearcat Invitational, bringing her season total to ten runs and 16 RBI. NightHawks pitcher Tybee Denton recorded 22 of the 28 total strikeouts from the circle last weekend, totaling 60 strikeouts on the season thus far. The Nighthawks will play the Eckerd Tritons on Wednesday evening before facing the Spartans on Thursday.
Series History: This will be the first meeting between the two teams.
