TAMPA, Fla. – The No. 2 University of Tampa softball team take game one of their 3-game series against Florida Tech.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- After a leadoff walk by Lauren Fantone, a single from Mariah Galhouse, and a walk from Alexa Russo, the Spartans had a 2-out base-loaded opportunity early in the game. Avery Perkins hit a single up the middle to take a 2–0 lead. Lexie Chevalier followed with a 2-run bloop double to score Russo and Perkins. Lastly, Kate DeSimone brought in Chevalier with a single to Right Field. End 1 | 5-0 Tampa
- After a dominating 5 innings from Galhouse, the Panthers scored their first run of the game from a wild pitch. Mid 6 | 5-1 Tampa
- The Spartans held on to win behind Galhouse's stellar pitching performance.
