TAMPA, Fla. – The No. 2 University of Tampa softball team continued their dominance over Eckerd.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• After a scoreless opening frame, the Spartans would score the game's first two runs. After an Avery Perkins single, Lexie Chevalier would smash a 2-run shot to left field to get the Spartans on the board. Top 2 | 2-0 Tampa
• With one out Alexa Russo would receive a productive out, hitting a grounder to the Tritons' shortstop to bring home Mariah Galhouse. Top 6 | 3-0 Tampa
• Lauren Fantone would add another insurance run, bringing home Abigail Siegel. Top 7 | 4-0 Tampa
