HOW IT HAPPENED — GAME ONE:
- Stephanie Balmer would lay down a perfectly placed 2-out squeeze bunt to bring home Lexie Chevalier and get the Spartans on the board. End 2 | 1-0 Tampa
- Tampa would receive an enormous insurance run thanks to a miscue fielding error from Barry to bring home Devin Hammonds. End 6 | 2-0 Tampa
INSIDE THE STATS — GAME ONE:
- Freshman Gwen McGinnis received her eighth win in the circle this season. She is now 8-0. McGinnis pitched all 7 innings, striking out 5; while allowing 0 runs, 2 hits, and a walk.
- Balmer: 1-1 & RBI

HOW IT HAPPENED — GAME TWO:
- After a leadoff walk by Balmer and back-to-back singles by Lauren Fantone and Lilly Kiester, the Spartans loaded bases and nobody out. Camryn Wineinger smacked a rope to left field to bring home Balmer. Fantone scored on the play on a fielding error by Barry's left fielder. End 3 | 2-0 Tampa
- Caroline Watson and Alexa Russo both with RBI groundouts. End 5 | 4-0 Tampa
- Hammonds would steal home on the Spartan's first and third double-steal attempts. End 6 | 5-0 Tampa
INSIDE THE STATS — GAME TWO:
- Senior Mary Beth Feldman received her tenth win in the circle this season. She is now 10-0. Feldman pitched 4.1 innings, striking out 3, allowing 0 runs, 5 hits, and 2 walks.
- Kate DeSimone would relieve Feldman. She recorded her first save of the year, pitching in 2.2 innings, striking out 4 while allowing 0 runs, a hit, and 2 walks.
