TAMPA, Fla. – The No. 2 University of Tampa softball team falls to St. Leo in extras.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Lions would score the game's first run. Mid 6 | 1-0 St. Leo
- After one triple off the bat of Camryn Wineinger earlier in the inning, the Spartans were down to their final out. Avery Perkins would slap a ball to the 5-6 hole; despite St. Leo's shortstop diving stop, Perkins would beat out the throw and bring home Wineinger to tie the game up. End 7 | 1-1 Tie
- The Lions would score in the top of the inning and hold off the Spartans. Final | 2-1 St. Leo
INSIDE THE STATS :
- Sophomore Galhouse received her third loss in the circle this season. She is now 13-3. She pitched all 10 innings, striking out 4 while allowing 2 runs (1 earned) on 10 hits.
