TAMPA, Fla. – The No. 1 University of Tampa softball team takes care of business over Tuskegee in the opening round of NCAA regionals.
INSIDE THE MATCHUP:

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Lexie Chevalier singled through the left side of the infield, scoring both Camryn Wineinger and Mariah Galhouse. | 2-0 Tampa, End 1
- On a throwing error by the second basemen, Lilly Kiester scored. Later in the inning, Mariah Galhouse scored on a fielder's choice, credit the RBI to Caroline Watson. Finally, Kate DeSimone singled to Centerfield, bringing home Avery Perkins. | 5-0 Tampa, Bottom 3rd.
- Camryn Wineinger continued her big day at the plate with a 1 out triple to right-center, scoring both Galhouse and Lauren Fantone. Avery Perkins then greeted the new pitcher for Tuskegee with a line-drive double over the second baseman, scoring Fantone. | 8-0 Tampa, Bottom 4th.

- Junior Mary Beth Feldman recorded her thirteenth win in the circle this season. She continues her perfect season at 13-0. Feldman pitched all 5 innings, striking out 6, allowing 0 runs, and 1 hit.
