Tampa Takes Both Games Versus Bridgeport
TAMPA, Fla. - No. 3 Tampa Spartans beat the Bridgeport Purple Knights.

HOW IT HAPPENED - GAME ONE:
- Spartans pitcher Kate DeSimone had a strong performance, allowing only 3 hits and 1 run while striking out 12 batters in 7 innings. Bridgeport's pitcher Katie Burawski struggled, giving up 12 hits and 7 runs in 6 innings.
- Tampa's offense was led by Camryn Wineinger, who had 4 hits and 3 RBIs in the game. Mariah Galhouse also contributed with 2 RBIs. On the other hand, Bridgeport struggled to generate offense, with only 3 hits and 1 run.
- Tampa took an early lead in the first inning and never looked back, adding to their lead in the second inning with a couple of unearned runs. Bridgeport managed to score a run in the third inning, but it was not enough to overcome Tampa's lead.

- Tampa got on the board in the 3rd inning when Lilly Kiester singled and scored Stephanie Balmer. They added another run in the 4th inning when Devin Hammonds singled to bring in Galhouse.
- Bridgeport struggled to get their offense going, only managing 2 hits in the game. Pitcher Vise Zarate took the loss after giving up 2 runs on 9 hits in 6 innings.
INSIDE THE STATS:
- Galhouse threw 48 strikes from 66 pitches, recording 5 strikeouts.
- Feldman threw 9 strikes from 14 pitches, recording 2 strikeouts and sercuring her first save of the season.
