HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Tampa took an early lead in the first inning when Camryn Wineinger singled to right field, bringing Lauren Fantone home for an unearned run.
- Embry-Riddle managed to tie the game in the third inning when Raissa Bianco singled through the right side, driving in a run.
- However, Tampa regained the lead in the third inning with Wineinger once again coming through with a fielder's choice that allowed Kinnah Kreidler to score. Wineinger later advanced to second on a passed ball, bringing the score to 3-1.
- Embry-Riddle fought back in the fifth inning with Kelsey Kressler hitting a sacrifice fly to right field, allowing Parker Ray to score an unearned run. Despite their efforts, Embry-Riddle fell short as Tampa's pitching held strong to secure the win.
INSIDE THE STATS:
- Kate DeSimone of Tampa was credited with the win, pitching a solid game with 7 innings, allowing only 3 hits and 2 runs.
