HOW IT HAPPENED - GAME ONE:
- Tampa got on to the board in the second inning when Lexie Chevalier hit a double scoring in Megan deVilliers.
- In the third inning Lilly Kiester reached first on a throwing error by 1b, SAC, bunt, advanced to second, RBI; Stephanie Balmer scored, unearned.
- Later in the third Mariah Galhouse had a key triple that drove in two runs for Tampa.
- Lauren Fantone added to the score in the fourth inning singling to first, bringing in Kenzie Reynolds.
INSIDE THE STATS:
- Galhouse earned her ninth win of the season pitching all seven innings for Tampa, striking out three batters, giving up six hits, allowing zero runs.
- Chevalier 2-3 with one RBI
HOW IT HAPPENED - GAME TWO:
- Tampa got on the board first in the third inning when Lauren Fantone hit a sacrifice fly to bring in Lexie Chevalier.
- Embry-Riddle responded in the fifth inning with a sacrifice fly from Mia Macchia, bringing in Leah Oberkehr to tie the game at 1-1.
- Tampa regained the lead in the bottom of the fifth when Fantone hit a triple to left center, driving in Devin Hammonds to make it 2-1.
- Both teams battled it out for the rest of the game, but Tampa's defense held strong to secure the win.
INSIDE THE STATS:
- Gwen McGinnis earned the win in the circle, striking out five batters, giving up four hits, and allowing one run.
- Fantone 1-2 with two RBIs
- Chevalier 2-2
