Tampa Lose A Close Game One Against No. 20 Rollins
TAMPA, Fla. - No. 3 Tampa suffers defeat in a close game one matchup against No. 20 Rollins.
INSIDE THE MATCHUP:

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Camryn Wineinger got the Spartans on the board in the 2nd inning reaching home plate off a Lexie Chevalier sac fly.
- Tars would respond in the 3rd inning with Grace Gerner doubling to left driving in Kaeli Zahradnik. Gerner would then reach home after Taylor Waters singled to left putting Rollins in front.
- Joey Trawick tied the game for Tampa in the 5th inning from a Lilly Kiester single to the shortstop.
- Rollins would score the last run of the game in the top of the 6th with Sarah Young hitting a sac fly to bring in Waters.
INSIDE THE STATS:
- Kate DeSimone suffered her first loss of the season pitching all 7.0 innings. She struck out five batters, allowed five hits, and conceded three runs.
- Kiester 2-3, RBI.
