Galhouse Walk-Off Secures Spartans Victory Over Chargers
CLINTON, Miss. - No. 6 Tampa wins it in nine innings against Alabama-Huntsville.
INSIDE THE MATCHUP:

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Chargers got thing started in the top of the 2nd inning when Jessica Edde singled to right field, scoring Kaylee Vaught.
- Kinnah Kreidler would respond a with home run to left center to even the score in the bottom of the 2nd.
- Alabama-Huntsville regained the lead in the next inning with Alexa Douthitt hitting a sacrifice fly, allowing Lawren Hayes to reach home plate. Laura Harbin extended the Chargers lead in the 5th inning sending one out of the park to left field.
- Tampa slowly clawed their way back into the game with Camryn Wineinger singling up the middle and Stephanie Balmer scoring an unearned run in the bottom of the 5th.
- Balmer would even the score in the 6th inning singling up the middle, driving in pinch runner Abigail Siegel.
- The Spartans would ultimatley get the win after 9 innings with Mariah Galhouse doubling to left center, and Wineinger beating the throw to home.
INSIDE THE STATS:
- Gwen McGinnis started in the circle pitching 4.0 innings. She struck out five batters, allowed six hits, and conceded three runs.
- Galhouse earns the win pitching 5.0 innings. She struck out five batters, allowed only one hit, and gave up zero runs.
- Kreidler 1-2, home run, one RBI.
- Balmer 2-4, one RBI.
