Galhouse Named SSC Pitcher Of The Week

Melbourne, Fla. - The Sunshine State Conference has released the latest weekly awards presented by Pollo Campero. Mariah Galhouse was named the SSC Pitcher of the Week for her outstanding performance in the circle. Against a solid Embry-Riddle offense, Galhouse tossed a seven inning complete game shutout in game three. Her official line of 7.0 IP, 6 H, 6 SO, 0 ER helped the Spartans win a tight contest 1-0 to complete the sweep of ERAU. 

Her dominance in the circle stretches beyond this past week of action as she has not given up a run since February 15th. On the year, Galhouse holds a 0.48 ERA with an 11-0 record. She leads the conference in earned runs against and walks allowed, only giving up 4 free bases in 73.1 IP. 

Galhouse has earned this award for the second time this season and now has eight total POTW honors in her career. Galhouse and the Spartans are currently riding a 25 game winning streak as they head into this weekend's home conference series with Florida Southern.
