
Juliana Cavallaro Recognized on Daktronics All-South Region Team
CLEVELAND, Miss. - Daktronics, Inc., announced its women's basketball all-region teams, with University of Tampa junior guard Juliana Cavallaro named to the second team.
Cavallaro becomes a member of the 2014-15 Conference Commissioners Association Women's Basketball All-Region Team, as announced on Thursday.
The Venice, Fla., native led the Spartans in scoring at 15.8 points per game. She also became the 17th player in program history to eclipse the 1,000 career point plateau. She also led the Spartans in rebounding (5.9 rpg), steals (35), minutes (1,002) and 3-point field goal percentage (.415).
The three-time Sunshine State Conference Player of the Week was also a first-team all-SSC selection. As one of two players (Ellen Nurmi) to start all 28 games this season, registered double-digit scoring totals in 26 games. She also scored 20-plus points on six occasions.
