Dori Nagy Named SSC Player of the Week
Melbourne, Fla. – University of Tampa junior forward Dori Nagy has been named Sunshine State Conference Player of the Week. She earned the award after leading the Spartans to a 2-0 week with wins over Florida Southern College and Nova Southeastern University.
In the 65-60 victory over Florida Southern, Nagy had a double-double as she scored 11 points and added 11 rebounds. In the game against the NSU Sharks, Nagy led the way as UT won 67-66. In the victory, she scored a career-high 28 points and added a game-high nine rebounds.
During the week, she would average a double-double as she averaged 19.5 points and 10 rebounds per game. Nagy scored her 39 points by shooting 62% from the field (16-26) and 78% from the free-throw line (7-9).
With the victories, the 25th ranked Spartans sit atop the SSC with a perfect 11-0 record and they have now won 12 games in a row.
