ST. LEO, Fla. – The No. 21University of Tampa women's basketball headed to Saint Leo University, mounting a second-half comeback to defeat the Lions in overtime.

All-Time Series: This marks the 103rd meeting between the two programs the Spartans increase their all-time series lead to 88-16 with thier 13th straight win over Saint Leo.
HOW IT HAPPENED
First Quarter: The Spartans took the lead in the beginning with Mya Giusto shooting a 3-pointer. The Lions however took control of the game, trailing the Spartans. Giusto also scored the most points in the quarter with two 3-pointers. || Score: 25-13 Saint Leo
Second Quarter: The game continued to not go in favor of the Spartans even with Audrey Ramsey's efforts to scoring 9 points. The Lions would end the half with a 21-point lead. || Score: 50-29 Saint Leo
Third Quarter: Tampa slowly but surely found ways to make the score closer to their opponent. Giusto and Aliyah Abney came in strong with a combined scored of 12 points. The Spartans finished the third quarter with three 3-pointers and ten layups. || Score: 65-47 Saint Leo
Fourth Quarter: The Spartans beat the odds after they thought their backs were against the wall.Giusto, Abney, and Terri Battle all scored 5 points or more to help their team stay alive. || Score: 74-74
Overtime: The Spartans came in strong with a total of 27 points to end the quarter victoriously. Battle was locked into the game, shooting 4-4 field goals. || Final: 97-90 Spartans
