HOW IT HAPPENED
1st QUARTER

It wasn't long until West Georgia found the gaps in Tampa's defense and scored a few points of their own. Tampa's transition basketball was in full effect scoring six fast break points. They then held West Georgia to no points for over two minutes. A defensive steal helped create a breakaway layup for Mya Giusto in the last five seconds of the quarter to assist Tampa in closing out the quarter in front. Score: 17-11 (Tampa)
2nd QUARTER
The second quarter started with a dump pass to Alani Gallagher for a layup. From there, Tampa had a few miscommunications on offense that West Georgia used to their advantage going on a 7-0 run decreasing Tampa's lead. A three from Audrey Ramsey stopped the momentum as Tampa pushed to keep their lead going into halftime. The last two minutes of the quarter each team exchanged buckets with a three by West Georgia cutting Tampa's lead to one before halftime. Score: 33-32 (Tampa)
3rd QUARTER
The intensity was high at the start of quarter. Tampa started strong with a 6-0 run. Sullivan showed shiftiness going coast to coast for a layup. Tampa's defense stood their ground holding West Georgia to no points in the last 3:46 of the quarter. Kin was the main scorer with 10 points. Score: 54-42 (Tampa)
4th QUARTER
Two early missed shots by West Georgia puts Tampa in good position to maintain their lead. Each team was put in high pressure situations as Giusto showed up with a big three. Tampa took a lead of 59-50 with a little over 4:00 left in the game. Another three from Eleanore Marciszewski extends the lead to 62-50.
