HOW IT HAPPENED
1st QUARTER
The matchup started with the Hilltoppers opening the scoring with the jump-shot. Senior guard Melijah Sullivan got the Spartans on the board with a layup. St Edward's built up their lead to five with six minutes left to play, and held the Spartans scoreless for three minutes. Audrey Ramsey broke the scoring drought when she netted a jump-shot of her own. The teams continued to go back and forth with the scoring in the end of the quarter, keeping it close headed into the second. | Score: 16-10 St Edward's
2nd QUARTER
The second quarter opened up with the Hilltoppers finding the back of the net first once again. Like the first quarter, Sullivan scored first for the Spartans off a layup. St Edward's built up their lead to eight points, but Sullivan went 2-2 on the line to get the Spartans back into the match. Mya Giusto netted her first jump-shot of the night to get the Spartans in the lead for the first time. Tampa comeback late in the second allowed for them to go into the half with the lead. | Score: 27-23 Tampa
3rd QUARTER
Tampa continued their scoring from the second quarter to begin the third, with Sullivan continuing her stellar performance. Giusto went 2-2 on the line to build the Tampa lead to eight points with eight minutes left in the quarter. The Spartan offense continued their dominance, and build their lead to 15 with less than one minute to play. | Score: 48-37 Tampa
4th QUARTER
The Spartans carried their momentum over from the last two quarters to open the fourth. Sullivan continued to tally points, along with Ramsey to solidify the Tampa win. | Score: 68-50 Tampa
