HOW IT HAPPENED
1st QUARTER
The Spartans would start the game off strong, setting a fast tempo for the first quarter. Sydney Kin would get Tampa on the board with a jump shot of her own. The Spartans would get out to a seven point lead as five minutes would remain in the quarter. The Spartans would keep their lead distant as Alani Gallagher, would hit a pair of free throws to end the quarter with the Spartans on top. | Score: 21-13 Tampa
2nd QUARTER
The Panthers would open the second quarter gaining on the Spartans, cutting Tampa's lead down to four after a pair of layups for the Panthers. A pair of buckets from Kin and a jump shot from Mya Giusto would find the Spartans go on a 6-0 run, not long later the Spartans would make it a double digit lead with two minutes remaining in the quarter. A three pointer from Eleanore Marciszewski sent the Spartans into the half up seven. Score: 41-34 Tampa
3rd QUARTER
Both teams would come into the half physical, with Gallagher hitting two from the charity stripe followed by a Melijah Sullivan layup off the fast break. The Panthers would not go away early, making it hard for the Spartans to pull away. A 8-0 run from Florida Tech would bring the fight back within five, Tampa would make one basket in the last five minutes as both teams headed into the fourth. | Score: 56-53 Tampa
4th QUARTER
Tampa would look to keep their lead in the fourth quarter, as the Panthers would go back and forth with the Spartans. Tampa extended their lead to 10 before the Panthers would go on a quick 10-0 run to bring the score level, The Spartans would look to pull away as a Kin jumper would stop the fire from Florida Tech.
