HOW IT HAPPENED
1st QUARTER
The game started with Tampa getting out in front early going on a 9-0 run. Notre Dame answered back with a jumper of their own stopping Tampa's momentum. Both teams experienced a shooting drought as the game went into the last six minutes of the quarter. Notre Dame were the first to score after the drought while Tampa answered back with a three from Mya Giusto. From here, Tampa managed to keep their distance finishing the quarter with a lead of 16. Score: 27-11 (Tampa)
2nd QUARTER
The second quarter started with Notre Dame scoring first as they attempted to climb back. This didn't work for long as Tampa continued scoring with Giusto leading the way. Eleanore Marciszewski and Melijah Sullivan got themselves points too as Tampa closed out another quarter in the lead. Score: 40-24 (Tampa)
3rd QUARTER
The third quarter started with two made jump shots from Audrey Ramsey and Sarah Jones. Sullivan and Marciszewski found themselves on the free throw line twice this quarter as Sullivan went 3-4 and Marciszewski went 4-4. The quarter ended with a defensive rebound by Marciszewski. Score: 63-34 (Tampa)
4th QUARTER
The last quarter started with Notre Dame scoring the first four points, before Sullivan broke their momentum with a jump shot. From here, Tampa went on a 17-0 run extending their lead. Notre Dame scored a few points of their own, but couldn't manage to stop Tampa's offense. Score: 87-58 (Tampa)
