1st QUARTER
West Texas A&M started the game off with immense tempo. Within four minutes, West Texas A&M got their lead up to nine to make the score 11-2. Within a minute, the Spartans would erase that deficit withSydney Kin converting a shot to the Spartans within two. Immediately after, Kin would tie the game off a fastbreak layup (11-11). The score would remain within two for the remainder of the quarter until point guard Maya Giusto converted a free throw to put the Spartans within one. | Score: 15-14 (West Texas A&M)
2nd QUARTER
The Spartans attempted to continue the momentum they gained in the late first quarter. The Spartans got onto an early run with the lead increased by Alani Gallagher who scored a fastbreak layup (25-19). Two plays later, Melijah Sullivan would score a basket to put the Spartans back up by six (27-21). The Lady Buffs would however make a comeback, tying the game with a three-pointer by Lauren Taylor. 3rd QUARTER
Coming out of the half, the Spartans were reborn, filled with new energy as the quarter was all theirs. The Spartans would go on a 13-4 run contributed by three three-pointers by Audrey Ramsey (46-35). Entering the quarter, the Spartans scored early, getting on a 5-2 run that would later result into a 20-point lead by the hands of Eleanore Marciszewski.
