WINTER PARK, FL – The No.3 University of Tampa women's basketball team collected a win in their away conference matchup against Rollins University.

HOW IT HAPPENED
1st QUARTER
Sydney Kin would get off to a hot start for the Spartans early on in the first, recording the first seven points for Tampa. A contested layup from Kin would get the Spartans up six with three minutes remaining in the quarter. Both teams would exchange baskets in a fast paced game as the first quarter came to a close. Score: 25-12 (Tampa)
2nd QUARTER
The second quarter began how the first quarter ended, the Spartans and Tars battled it out in a shooting match. However, the first quarter deficit would be a lot for Rollins to recover from early on. Audrey Ramsey recorded five in the quarter as a turnaround jumper from Erin Antosh would send the Spartans into halftime with a comfortable lead. Score: 43-25 (Tampa)
3rd QUARTER
The second half began with a Kin layup to start things off for the Spartans, Tampa would go on a 6-2 run to make it a 22 point lead with seven minutes left in the quarter. A two minute scoreless drought by both teams would be broken by Melijah Sullivan. Two jumpers from Alani Gallagher would send the Spartans into the final quarter up 23. Score: 61-38 (Tampa)
4th QUARTER
Rollins would get the fourth quarter started off with a jump shot of their own, Rollins looked to come storming back in the fourth by going on a 19-3 run late in the final stretch. But a big Spartans first quarter would make all the difference in the game. Score: 71-63 (Tampa)
