HOW IT HAPPENED
In a NCAA South Region Semi-final matchup between Eckerd and Tampa, Tampa emerged victorious with a narrow 69-68 win in overtime. The game was closely contested throughout, with both teams giving their all on the court.
Eckerd's Lauryn Vieira had an outstanding performance, leading her team with 27 points and 11 rebounds. She was a force to be reckoned with on both ends of the floor. Chance Bucher also contributed with 15 points for Eckerd.
On the other side, Tampa had a balanced scoring attack with four players scoring in double figures. Zoe Piller led the way with 14 points and 8 rebounds, while Audrey Ramsey added 13 points and 9 rebounds.
The game was a back-and-forth affair, with both teams trading baskets and making key plays down the stretch. In the end, Tampa was able to come out on top in overtime, securing the victory after a free throw from Mya Giusto with 4 second left.
