HOW IT HAPPENED: 

FIRST HALF: Tampa started the first half with strong defensive efforts, including key rebounds by Audrey Ramsey and Sariana Rodriguez. Despite a slow start offensively, Tampa found a rhythm as Olivia Davis sank a critical 3-pointer to narrow the gap to 4-3. Zoe Piller became a dominant force, scoring multiple layups and jump shots to give Tampa its first lead at 6-7 and later extend it to 18-22. Rodriguez showcased her versatility, draining two clutch 3-pointers with assists from Davis and Ramsey to push the lead to 20-29. Tampa's team chemistry was on display, with sharp ball movement leading to multiple assisted baskets, including a layup by Kath Van Bennekom. The team capitalized on turnovers, with Piller stealing the ball and converting possessions into points. Late in the half, Piller remained a key contributor, hitting a free throw and a layup to keep Tampa ahead. The half concluded with Tampa holding a solid 33-29 lead, driven by their defensive intensity and offensive execution.
